We are a community-based organization focused on making a difference. We aim to serve our local community - organising events, supporting local charities, groups or individuals that need our help or raising money that can then be used to help others. We presently have over 30 members, but are always seeking to welcome new people who can join us and make a difference too. If this sounds like you, please get in touch.
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team!
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, supporting our events or spreading the word about what we do, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
We are most grateful to those of you who support our Tree of Light. To see all of the dedications for 2023, please press the LIVES REMEMBERED button below.
The Rotary Club of Malvern are determined to make a difference in the community. Money raised from this year’s Tree of Light will benefit Acorns Children’s Hospice and St Richards Hospice, as well as many more local causes.
However, the main way which the Tree of Light helps the individuals of Malvern is when it comes to remembering loved ones who are no longer with us.
“The tree brings a focus and an opportunity to remember loved ones” said Rotary president, Bruce Banister-Harding. “It allows partners, wives, husbands, children and grandchildren to remember happier times, and many people pick out a light on the tree to represent their loved one."
This year's Switch on ceremony took place on Monday 27th November 2023 at 6pm with The Chase Brass Band playing Christmas Carols to bring some festive cheer.
The lights in Priory Park shone througout the Christmas and New Year period from 27th November 2023 though to 6th January 2024 for people to enjoy as they walked though the park. There was also a rolling display of all of the lives remembered on a large screen inside the theatre during this time, as well as the names being printed in the christmas edition of the Malvern Gazette.
It's not too late to support us. If you would like to commemorate a loved one or just make a donation to support our efforts, please complete the form attached and send to the address shown. Online payments are preferred, although cheques can be sent with the form (suggested minimum £5).
